Breathwork is a transformative strategy for self exploration and personal growth that has evolved over thousands of years. This powerful modality has its roots in various ancient yogic and Buddhist practices. More recently breathwork has been offered in formats like "Holotropic Breathwork" and "Rebirthing". Breathwork holds the potential to foster profound healing and growth in all aspects of one's life.
My approach to breathwork has emerged out of many years of personal and professional exploration and training. Evocative music, sustained strenuous breathing and facilitative bodywork are the integral elements of the style of breathwork I offer. Individual breathwork sessions are 2 hours long. Group sessions are 4 hours long and are offered in an occasional weekend workshop format. Participants in breathwork sessions often report release of supressed painful emotions, shifts from physical tension to profound relaxation, and remarkable psychological and spiritual insights arising spontaneously.
Prospective breathwork clients are encouraged to consider that participation in breathwork may involve intense emotional expression and the recollection of very early difficult memories. Please also note that breathwork is not appropriate for pregnant women or individuals suffering from serious emotional or physical illness.
